The snow turned the countryside white today (Taken with the Fuji X100s)
Winter is still putting up a fight with very low temperatures forecast for the next few days (including pretty heavy snow today). Although it causes problems for a lot of people, snow definitely gussies up the landscape and makes photographers smile from ear to ear, none more so than me.
If it continues to accumulate as expected over the next few days, I may yet get back down to Dún na Rí Forest Park to try to get a snow covered shot of the bridge & river there. I had an idea last year to take a shot in the same location, showing the exact same scene in the 4 different seasons of the year. Obviously, snow will make people identify with Winter quite clearly (to go along with the autumn shot on my portfolio page). I already made a trip down there during the last snowfall a few weeks ago, but there was very little accumulation in the forest itself. This time may be different with a bit of luck… Fingers crossed.
