Some of my older, ‘never before seen’ shots
There are some from Glenmalure in Wicklow, Portmagee in Kerry, Dun na Rí Forest Park, Skellig Michael in Kerry, Valentia Island in Kerry, my local area and of course, my 24/7 model Chloe.
Looking at some of these, I feel there is definitely something appealing about monochrome photos… But, I just can’t quite put my finger on what it is. Maybe the removal of colour focuses our perception and allows us to appreciate the finer details in the photo? Or perhaps, much like reading a book as opposed to watching a movie, our imagination is more unbounded. We can fill in the colours with our imagination and create a more stunning palette to meet our preferences.
The 2 shots from Glenmalure were inspired by the style of the master, Ansel Adams.
